Archaic anthropomorphic post Hardwood, remnants of white pigment, very old erosion and wear marks Tiv culture, Nigeria, probably 19th century or earlier 99 x 15 cm This anthropomorphic post was planted in the ground, in connection with domestic or ritual space. The standing female figure is frontal and stable, with simplified forms that reinforce her presence.
