African head on a long neck, made of terracotta; likely Akan, Ghana A sculpturally rendered head with a broad facial shape, prominent, horizontally set eyes, a striking nose, and closed lips. A forward-curving headdress crowns the forehead. The elongated, cylindrical neck features a round, sculpted decoration and transitions into a flared base. Hollow on the underside.
