Woodcut, Hans Nowak (1922–1996), “Rural Landscape in Moonlight,” signed and numbered An expressive black-and-white woodcut depicting a rural landscape in moonlight. At the center are several traditional farmhouses, surrounded by trees and dense vegetation. A bright full moon appears above the scene, emphasizing the nocturnal atmosphere of the landscape. The composition is characterized by striking cut lines, strong light-dark contrasts, and an expressive formal language. The rhythmically arranged structures lend the motif a special graphic depth and dynamism. Signed “Hans Nowak” in pencil by hand at the bottom right of the image; numbered 34/50 on the left. Limited edition of 50 copies. Framed under glass with a mat in a black frame. Sheet dimensions: approx. 64 × 48 cm.
