Paul Ernst Wilke (1894–1971) – Farm in Worpswede, 1959 An atmospheric depiction of a traditional farm in Worpswede by the German painter Paul Ernst Wilke. The painting depicts a thatched half-timbered house with several windows and a small seating area surrounded by lush greenery. In the foreground lies a well-tended garden with flowering plants, dense shrubbery, and a winding garden path. The lively, Impressionist-influenced brushwork, along with the harmonious interplay of vibrant greens and warm earth tones, lends the work a summery and idyllic atmosphere.
