Depiction of a bird of prey perched on an angular rock base, holding a captured bird in its talons. Finely rendered plumage and naturalistic polychrome underglaze painting in shades of brown, olive, beige, gray, and white. Condition: consistent with its age. Several areas of damage or missing pieces at the tips of the feathers and wings; a larger section of feathers with a visible crack or break. Additional slight signs of wear and handling. Beak with a broken tip.
