Multi-row silver necklace with a chatelaine pendant, probably from Central Asia, 19th/early 20th century. An intricately crafted multi-strand silver necklace consisting of numerous densely woven chain strands and a large, ornamentally engraved connecting element with curving openwork. Attached to it are several freely moving chain pendants with spherical and filigree-worked pendants, as well as various eyelets and connecting elements. The design corresponds to a traditional chatelaine or amulet necklace, to which various small functional or protective pendants could originally be attached. On a chain slider is an engraved mark that is not clearly legible, possibly a maker’s mark. Handcrafted, likely from Central Asia or the Persian-Turkmen cultural region, 19th to early 20th century. Distinct age-related patina, traces of oxidation, minor deformations, and signs of wear; individual pendants or components may have been replaced or are missing; overall, in an authentic condition appropriate to its age. Length approx. 160 cm, weight 177 grams
