192 - Necklace made of glass and gold beads with a gold pendant. Parthian, 2nd–3rd century AD. Length approx. 45 cm, of which the pendant measures 5 cm. Composed primarily of tubular glass beads, interspersed with four different types of gold beads (ray-shaped with small spheres, funnel-shaped with triangular granulation, tubular with granulation, and beads consisting of a rhombus and two discs with granulation), with a central gold pendant in the shape of a wheel with six arms, the ends of which consist of a disc-shaped spiral; granulation decoration on the wheel and the arms. Wearable! Modernly strung with a clasp; glass beads sintered, gold beads with traces of sinter. Provenance: Formerly in a private collection in Berlin, acquired at Gorny & Mosch Auction 260, 2018, Lot 207; formerly in the Shlomo Moussaieff Collection, London, 1948–2000.
