Georges de FEURE (1868–1943) Two Elegant Ladies Gouache on paper Frame in patinated leather decorated with oak leaf motifs Circa 1900 Dimensions: 80 x 69 cm (with frame) Note: The motif and colors of the foliage are reminiscent of a carpet design created between 1900 and 1903 and housed at the Musée des Arts Décoratifs in Paris (inv.: CD2697) and featured in the catalog (p. 85) of the Georges de Feure exhibition at the Maurice Denis Departmental Museum “Le Prieuré” in 1995.
