Siegfried Zimmermann 1927 Halle – 2012 Hanover – Lovers – Bronze. Brown patina. H. 8 cm. Monogrammed on the side: SZ. The artist trained as a wood sculptor in the Rhön region. Later, he studied under Scheuernstuhl and Lehmann in Hanover. He became an assistant to the latter. He taught at the Technical University of Hanover. The Sprengel Museum in Hanover owns a sculpture by him depicting a woman riding a donkey. Zimmermann also did a great deal of work for the church.
