Wilhelm W. Reinke 1963 Braunschweig - "With Thanks to the Artist" - (1988–1992) Linen-bound box containing 50 vintage prints on paper in black mat boards (35mm photograph). Each 24 x 30.5 cm. All with a personal dedication and autograph by the performing artist pictured. Signed on the reverse by W. Reinke. Minimal signs of aging and wear. Included: original negatives/contact sheets, correspondence with the artists, and a publication by edition q, Berlin, 1992. A special collection of photographic snapshots capturing stage performers and artists reacting to the audience’s applause and expressing their gratitude. Reinke succeeds in capturing this moment—which is actually characterized by sounds such as cheers and applause—in a still photograph and conveying its emotional intensity.
