Large boulder opal pendant with gold chain 585/- yellow gold, hallmarked. Total weight: 32.4 g. Hallmark "K.P." on the back. Large, asymmetrically cut boulder opal with a natural ironstone matrix (approx. 40 x 20 x 5.2 mm). Distinctive, iridescent play of colors in shades of blue, green, pink, and red. Pendant length: 5.5 cm, width: 2.8 cm. Chain length: 70 cm. Good condition; opal has hairline cracks. This exceptionally large boulder opal is characterized by its vibrant play of colors and the striking contrast between the iridescent opal layer and the dark brown, natural ironstone matrix. The asymmetrical gold setting, which follows the stone’s natural shape, emphasizes the piece’s unique character.
