Designer Jewelry: Filigree Brooch with Brilliant-Cut Diamonds Design: Wilhelm Buchert (1939 Zwickau – 2023 Kiel). One-of-a-kind piece. 900/- fine gold and 950/- platinum, unhallmarked, tested. Total weight: 9.6 g. 5 brilliant-cut diamonds, approx. 0.25 ct. Diameter: 4.5 cm. Pin with safety clasp. Very good condition. Filigree artist’s brooch featuring a geometric, constructive design. A circular platinum frame encloses a dynamic composition of delicate, diagonally running metal bars that frame a triangular, three-dimensional gold element. Five brilliant-cut diamonds arranged in a row add sparkling accents. The interplay of open spatial structures, clean lines, and contrasting precious metal surfaces lends the brooch a remarkable lightness. A characteristic example of German designer jewelry, in which the jewelry design is also understood as an independent artistic composition.
