(Udo Goertz), 585. 1 cabochon-cut chalcedony (25.2 x 14.6 x 10 mm). 1 brilliant-cut diamond, approx. 0.4–0.5 ct (tcr/p). Dimensions: 4 x 3.2 cm. Eyelets. Very good condition. Solidly crafted goldsmith’s pendant with a sculptural, curved design. The large, pale blue shimmering chalcedony cabochon is encased in an open, asymmetrically designed white gold setting and accented by a brilliant-cut diamond set in a bezel above it. The interplay of softly rounded contours, polished gold surfaces, and the chalcedony’s translucent color gives the piece an elegant, contemporary appeal. Goldsmith and certified jewelry designer Udo Goertz has operated his own workshop in Wesel since 1992. His jewelry creations combine traditional goldsmithing with a distinctive, modern design language and are characterized by sculptural forms and the deliberate showcasing of selected gemstones.
