Designer Jewelry: Floral bangle with a large precious opal and diamond Design: Wilhelm Buchert (1939 Zwickau – 2023 Kiel). One-of-a-kind piece. 750/- yellow gold, hallmarked. Total weight: 34.9 g. Hallmark: WB (Wilhelm Buchert). 3 brilliant-cut diamonds, approx. 0.5 ct (tw/vsi). 1 cabochon-cut opal (D. 15 x 14 x 5.6 mm). Inner dimensions: 5.2 x 5.7 cm. Latch clasp. In good condition; opal has hairline cracks. Wilhelm Buchert (1939–2023) Master goldsmith Wilhelm Buchert received his training in the 1950s at the Werkkunstschule in Pforzheim. Beautiful bangle featuring a large precious opal in a cabochon cut. The continuous play of colors extends across the entire surface, giving it a uniform appearance. The base color ranges from white to milky and features a very vibrant play of colors in strong shades of red, orange, green, and blue. Red is always a sign of quality.
