Total weight: 7.5 g. Dimensions approx. 4 x 2.1 cm. Very good condition. A very finely crafted designer brooch by the renowned Danish artisan and designer Just Andersen. The warm-toned garnets are harmoniously integrated into the sculpturally designed gold setting and emphasize the piece’s characteristic, sculptural expression. Just Andersen is considered one of the leading figures in Danish arts and crafts of the first half of the 20th century. After completing his training at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts, he founded his own workshop in Copenhagen in 1918. His designs encompass jewelry, silverwork, and metalwork, combining Art Deco influences with a distinctive style often characterized by organic forms. This brooch is a fine example of Andersen’s jewelry work and is distinguished by its balanced design and exquisite craftsmanship.
