Opal Cabochon Ring with Diamonds Probably circa 1900. 750/- rose gold and white gold, hallmarked. Total weight: 4.1 g. Hallmarks: 18ct. Set with 1 cabochon-cut opal and 12 octagonal-cut diamonds totaling approx. 0.3 ct. Ring size 55. Very good condition for its age. The highly domed opal cabochon captivates with its vivid play of color in luminous shades of blue and green. A flower-shaped wreath of diamonds frames the center stone. The raised, crown-like openwork setting and the filigree-crafted ring shoulders emphasize the elegant design of the piece.
