Designer Jewelry: Chain bracelet with geometric clasp Design: Wilhelm Buchert (1939, Zwickau – 2023, Kiel). One-of-a-kind piece. 900/- yellow gold, unhallmarked. Total weight: 52.9 g. Probably 2 white opals (D. 20 x 13 mm). L. 18.5 cm. W. 2 cm. Pin clasp. Very good condition. Master goldsmith Wilhelm Buchert received his training in the 1950s at the Werkkunstschule in Pforzheim. Beautiful five-row chain bracelet with a geometric pin clasp. Very fine craftsmanship. These are likely white opals (common opal) that do not exhibit play of color. They appear softer and more waxy than chalcedony. The bracelet’s composition is very harmonious in its technical design.
