Includes original CHANEL certificate in French and English, as well as a reproduction of a design sketch labeled “Karl Lagerfeld 2006.” VIP gift from Chanel. In good condition with occasional slight surface and wear marks. Large-format BE@RBRICK figure in a stylized bear shape, designed as a tribute to Coco Chanel. The figure wears the signature black-and-white suit with contrasting details, a stylized pearl necklace, oversized black sunglasses featuring the CHANEL monogram, red lips, and a white camellia flower on its ear. The sculpture was designed in 2006 by Karl Lagerfeld (1933–2019) in collaboration with the Japanese toy manufacturer MEDICOM TOY for CHANEL. It was released as a numbered special edition limited to 1,000 pieces and was distributed exclusively as a gift from the fashion house. The accompanying CHANEL certificate bears the notation “Bearbrick dressed by Karl Lagerfeld for CHANEL – Numbered & limited edition – Offered by CHANEL – Not for sale.” The BE@RBRICK figures, produced by MEDICOM TOY since 2001, are among the most famous designer toys in international pop culture. The 1000% version is one of the largest standard sizes in the series. Karl Lagerfeld, creative director of CHANEL’s fashion collections from 1983 to 2019, combined the iconic aesthetic of the French fashion house with Japanese designer toy culture in this design.
