Tall vase with a narrow neck Mario Enke, Boren-Lindaunis / Schleswig-Holstein 1997. Stoneware, brown body. Copper-red, black, and green reduction glaze. Craquelure. Marked and dated on the base: E on M (artist’s mark) and 1997. Height: 45.5 cm. - https://www.marioenke.de/keramik/ Work by Mario Enke (born 1948 in Gera). Enke studied theology in Leipzig from 1969 to 1970 and then moved to Bürgel to train as a potter, completing his training in 1972. From 1972 to 1975, he worked in various ceramics studios, and in 1975 he earned his master potter’s certification in Bürgel. Beginning in 1976, he ran his own ceramics studio in Güterfelde and later in Potsdam. In 1993, he moved his studio to Boren-Lindaunis, where he opened his own gallery in 1997. (Wikipedia)
