MAUTHNER MAGPUBLICITÉE ANCIENNE | PLAQUE ÉMAILLÉE Condition (1/2) | Enamel sign, double sided, thickly stenciled, also lithographed, HUN 1935, 45 x 60 cm, Zománcmü Bonyhád, design: D. Szano Istvan, here, too, the master enameller knew his craft, the flowers and the heart-shaped hem of the skirt are beautifully enameled, while the lithography, with its coarse grid, enhances the image. The fact that this piece survived the passage of time so unscathed was likely due to a firing error (hence condition “(1/2)” here), which caused the top layer of enamel on the reverse side to discolor. Consequently, this sign was brought to the archive instead of being shipped out with the others. A rarity! | This is an authentic original, no replica or fake. Worldwide in-house shipping for most items. Wooden crates are available
