Greece Photographer unknown. Selected views of the Acropolis. Circa 1860s–70s. 6 albumen prints, mounted on board. Each measures between approx. 15 x 21 cm and 21 x 26.5 cm or reverse (mounts 32 x 44 cm or reverse). The views include the Propylaea from the east, a general view of the Acropolis and the South Slope, the Parthenon, Hadrian’s Arch, and the Erechtheion. An attractive collection of views that offers an early glimpse of the historic site. – Boards are slightly stained by age and dusty; prints have some scuff marks, a few have spots, but otherwise all are in good to very good condition.
