Schnackenberg, Ulrich Bermuda Triangle Wire sculpture. Brass, partially painted, on a brass plinth, mounted on a lacquered wooden plinth. Circa 1983. Approx. 55 x 40 x 40 cm. This early, expansive sculpture by the artist begins to vibrate persistently not only at the slightest touch, but also at the slightest breeze or vibrations from floorboards—especially in older apartments. In this way, it seems to illustrate the fragility of life. Schnackenberg, who studied at the HdK Berlin and became a master student under Bernhard Heiliger in 1981, founded the sculpture group “Odious” that same year. We thank Ulrich Schnackenberg, Unkel, for his helpful comments dated August 15, 2026. Provenance: Private collection, Berlin - Please request condition reports for the lots, as the condition is usually not specified in the catalog. - Please ask for condition reports for individual lots, as the condition is usually not mentioned in the catalog.
