Hündeberg, HOM Jürgen von Untitled Oil on cardboard. 1956. 38.3 x 25.7 cm. Signed “Hündeberg” (scratched into the paint) on the upper right margin; signed again “J. v. Hündeberg” in red with a brush on the reverse, dated, inscribed “Weihnachten,” and dedicated. In the 1950s and 1960s, the Munich avant-garde celebrated the painter Hans-Otto Maximilian Jürgen von Hündeberg, known as Iwan. As part of the Munich bohemian scene, Hündeberg moved in the company of Klaus Kinski, Rainer Werner Fassbinder, Franz Xaver Kroetz, and others. - Please ask for condition reports for the lots, as the condition is usually not mentioned in the catalog. - Please ask for condition reports for individual lots, as the condition is usually not mentioned in the catalog.
