Giebe, Hubertus "North Sea"; Landscape 2 sheets: watercolor and black pen, and pencil on vellum and sketchbook paper, respectively. 1991. 33 x 37.5 and 30 x 40 cm. One sheet signed “Giebe” in black pen in the upper right corner, dated and titled; one sheet signed “Giebe” in pencil in the upper and lower left corners and dated. Densely composed landscape scenes with intense colors, created shortly after German reunification. Giebe studied at the Dresden Academy of Fine Arts and later at the Academy of Graphic Arts and Book Arts in Leipzig. He subsequently served as a master student under Bernhard Heisig in Leipzig.
