Fidel, Margarete "MMF" Oil over paper collage on canvas with artist's stretcher. 1975. 77 x 78.5 cm. Signed "M Fidel" in black with a fiber-tip pen on the lower right of the reverse, dated, and titled at the top center. The work was created while Margarete Fidel was still a student. The nearly monochrome composition is crisscrossed by a delicate grid of lines and overlapping geometric planes. Depending on the angle of the light and the viewer’s vantage point, individual forms seem to come forward and recede again. Provenance: Private collection, Berlin - Please ask for condition reports for individual lots, as the condition is usually not mentioned in the catalog. - Please ask for condition reports for individual lots, as the condition is usually not mentioned in the catalog.
