Arnold, Karl Funeral Procession (The Street) Pen and ink in black and opaque white on rolled vellum, mounted in a mat by the artist. 23 x 23.3 cm (mat opening). Monogrammed “KA” in black pen at the bottom right; marked “#2” in pencil on the mat; on the reverse side of the backing board bears the red estate stamp, marked there in red “No. 009,” and (presumably in the artist’s own hand) titled and labeled “No. 8471” in pencil. Arnold effectively groups the contrasting figures in a circular movement around the empty center of the image.
