Jonathan Kenworthy, British b.1943 - Pokot man resting, 1986; bronze, signed, dated and numbered to the base 'Kenworthy 1986 7/8', stamped with Foundry stamp, H56 x W21 x D17.2 cm (ARR) Note: Kenworthy attended the Royal Academy Schools from 1961, but also studied anatomy at the Royal Veterinary College, which perhaps drove his interest and dexterity at sculpting animals and figures in action. He used a Schools Gold Medal Travelling Scholarship to make an initial visit to Africa which led to annual trips around the continent. A retrospective exhibition entitled 'Six Decades of Sculpture' was held at the Pangolin London, London in 2013.
