Michel MORENO (born in 1945). "Gulf War," 1991. Oil on canvas-mounted kraft paper, signed lower left, countersigned, dated, and titled on the reverse. Height: 165 cm - Width: 270 cm Exhibitions: - Gisors Town Hall, 1991; - Château de Domazan, 1994; - Bernard-Boesch Museum, Le Pouliguen, 2014; - Sonia Monti Gallery in Paris, 2016. Note: A prolific French artist, his work draws inspiration from several artistic movements. Straddling abstraction and figuration, he incorporates elements of Neo-Cubism and Expressionism through the use of deconstructed forms within a fragmented pictorial space. He produces about fifty works a year and exhibits notably at the Galerie Élysée Miromesnil, the Galerie Raymond Duncan, and the Galerie Serge Gérard in Paris.
