1894 - GIANT / ONCE, ca. 2001, Giant TCR presentation and prototype road bike from the Spanish ONCE team, built as a pre-production model for the team’s season presentation, featuring a handcrafted Giant TCR prototype frame in a rare special black paint finish with green and yellow ONCE team accents, a Giant carbon fork, Campagnolo headset, Campagnolo Record Carbon Ultra Torque crankset with Campagnolo 10-speed chainrings (52/39), Campagnolo hubs, classic road wheels, Campagnolo Record brakes, Campagnolo Record carbon Ergopower shift levers, ITM cockpit, Giant carbon seatpost, Giant Team saddle, Campagnolo groupset, frame height approx. 50 cm – This extraordinary display bike was built as a professional ONCE team bike with a special black paint job. The team ultimately opted for the well-known yellow team color; it is believed that only a single bike in this color scheme was ever produced and that it was never used in competition.
