FERRARI, Extremely rare original black-and-white factory photo postcard from 1947 featuring a historic photograph of the first Ferrari 125 S, chassis no. 01C, in front of the factory gate in Maranello. In 1940, Scuderia Ferrari was renamed “Auto Avio Costruzioni Ferrari.” In 1943, the company moved to Maranello, where Ferrari remains headquartered to this day. After the factory was destroyed by bombing raids in 1944, it was rebuilt in 1946. The Ferrari 125 S, introduced in 1947 and equipped with a 1.5-liter V12 engine, was ultimately the first true Ferrari and thus laid the foundation for one of the world’s most legendary automotive brands. The photo postcard shows this historically significant Ferrari 125 S in front of the factory gate in Maranello. It is labeled “Modena Ferrari Italia” in the lower left corner and is blank on the reverse. Only a few copies of this exceptionally rare factory photo postcard are known to exist today. To the best of our knowledge, only two copies of this postcard have ever appeared at auctions. Both were sold and have since remained in the hands of dedicated collectors. Consequently, the opportunity to acquire such a historic Ferrari artifact is exceptionally rare. Dimensions: 9 x 14.1 cm. A museum-quality rarity from the early days of Ferrari and an extraordinary collector’s item of the utmost rarity!
