Wynants," lower right: "N: Strixner del.," inscribed in lead on the reverse: "Incunable of lithography / N. Strixner after ? Jan Wynants, Dutch / Winkler No. 965 42.4:III." Dussler, (Munich II), p. 150 No. XLII, 4 / “Meadow Landscape with Trees,” Munich 1811–1816. Strixner learned engraving from Dorner in 1799. Employed as a draftsman in 1803 at the Electoral Gallery in Munich. Beginning in 1810, he published the *Oeuvres Lithographiques*. Lived in Stuttgart from 1820 onward.
