De Villain. / Maurin del.". Date: 19th century Description: Maurin was a French lithographer and engraver; in 1833, two of his works were accepted for the first time for the major exhibition of the Salon de Paris, and in the following years he participated in these annual exhibitions. Keywords: 19th century, Figurative, Religious, France, Size: Paper: 32.2 cm x 48.5 cm (12.7 x 19.1 in), Image: 24.0 cm x 37.5 cm (9.4 x 14.8 in) Condition: Good condition. The sheet is browned and foxed due to its age; the upper edge of the sheet shows traces of detachment from a binding and is bumped along the edges; the figure on the right has white spots in the area of the face and shoulder.
