Lower center, additional inscription: "Elle plaint sa solitude." Date: 1649 Description: Depiction of a cartouche with a banner. A lone bird sits on a branch and looks down toward the ground. A hilly landscape can be seen in the background. The sheet shows signs of dust and soiling consistent with its age. A tear in the upper right corner has been repaired with glue. There is a conspicuous brownish stain on the image at the right edge of the plate, which has caused two fine hairline cracks along the lower edge of the banner. The sheet has been trimmed 1.4 cm on the right, 1.2 cm at the bottom, and 1.1 cm on the left from the platemark. The writing on the reverse shows through the sheet. The edge has been reinforced on the reverse by gluing a paper border.
