Date: 1914 Description: A landscape featuring a picturesque mountain range behind a wide plain. A violent storm is approaching from the right edge of the sheet, obscuring the jagged lines of the mountains and blurring them beyond recognition in a veil of rain. The picture depicts a vast landscape with sparse vegetation in the foreground, consisting of low bushes and trees. Barren, jagged mountain peaks rise in the background, forming a dramatic backdrop. The sky dominates the upper part of the composition and is covered in clouds, creating a gloomy mood. The lighting conditions suggest an impending storm, which is emphasized by the dark clouds on the right side of the picture. The composition conveys a calm, yet slightly threatening atmosphere.
