7340 - Schaberl, Robert

Schaberl, Robert ZF dark blue/Berlin 1998 (130x) Acrylic on canvas. 1998. 130 x 130 cm. On the back of the stretcher, there is a directional arrow. A monochromatic, characteristic work from Schaberl’s Berlin period. The brushstrokes consistently radiate outward in grooved patterns from the center of the painting, creating an iridescent, almost pulsating effect in the paint through the traces of the bristles. From an early stage, the theme of central forms has been at the heart of Schaberl’s work. The chromatic and spatial effect of his circular forms shifts and expands within the countless layers of paint through reflection and the incidence of light, depending on the viewer’s perspective, and encourages movement in front of the painting. In this way, Schaberl encourages a reflective, unhurried way of seeing. Trained at the Mozarteum in Salzburg, he initially worked for many years in Berlin and Miami. Accompanied by a certificate from the artist, Vienna, dated September 14, 2026.
