Dalí, Salvador Venus with Drawers Bronze with a greenish patina on a bronze plinth. 1973/95. Approx. 40 x 10 x 11 cm. Signed “Salvador Dalí” on the front of the plinth (in the casting), dated on the right side and stamped with the edition mark “VALSUANI”; on the reverse, in the casting, bears the old date and designation “1973/93 DEMART.” Edition of 1,000 numbered copies. Ex. Dalí equips the forehead, breasts, abdomen, and left knee of the Venus figure with drawers that are mostly functional. “The ‘Venus de Milo with Drawers’ is not the result of surrealist dream work.
