Sintenis, Renée Small Foal Scratching Itself Bronze with a dark brown patina, on a bronze plinth. 1918. Approx. 7 x 8 x 3.1 cm. See Berger/Ladwig/Wenzel-Lent 34; see also Buhlmann 127. The little foal, scratching its tilted head with its left hind hoof, appears very delicate, almost fragile. Our version, with the plinth, is likely unknown to date and therefore differs in dimensions from the catalog raisonné (see Berger/Ladwig/Wenzel-Lent 34). A magnificent cast with a patina that has been impressively lightened in places.
