Mueller, Otto Three Girls in Front of the Mirror Lithograph on soft Japanese paper. Circa 1922. 35.1 x 25.5 cm (48.3 x 36 cm). Signed “Otto Mueller.” Edition of 50 numbered copies. Karsch 124. Karsch describes the paper as handmade. According to Karsch, the publisher of the lithograph has not yet been identified. “Some of Mueller’s lithographs appear like shorthand notes—and yet they are not mere pared-down versions; even in this abbreviated form, they have retained their full expressiveness and the entire richness of their graphic subtlety.” (Lothar-Günther Buchheim, Otto Mueller, Life and Work, Feldafing 1963, p. 174). A magnificent, wonderfully clear print with a full margin, featuring the deckle edge on the right. - Please ask for condition reports for individual lots, as the condition is usually not mentioned in the catalog. - Please ask for condition reports for individual lots, as the condition is usually not mentioned in the catalog.
