Redon, Odilon By all appearances, it was a hand of flesh and blood, just like mine Lithograph on heavy vellum. 1896. 24.4 x 17.8 cm (44.7 x 31.3 cm). Edition of 60 copies. Mellerio 164. With its spiritual and mysterious aura, this print is exemplary of Redon’s subjects from the 1890s. Plate 4 of the 6-part series of Redon’s free illustrations and visualizations for “La Maison Hantée,” the ghost story by British author Edward Bulwer-Lytton. Published by René Philipon, printed by Clot, Paris, with the printed title in the lower left corner. Excellent print with full margins. - Please ask for condition reports for individual lots, as the condition is usually not mentioned in the catalog. - Please ask for condition reports for individual lots, as the condition is usually not mentioned in the catalog.
