CHARLES & RAY EAMES. "Model EA 219" office swivel chair. Designed in 1969. Manufactured by Herman Miller, likely in the late 1970s or 1980s. Cast aluminum, chrome-plated, black leather. H. 100 cm. High backrest with three sewn-on cushions; seat with one cushion. Black leather upholstery. Polyurethane foam padding. Side panels, tension bars, armrests, and 5-star base made of die-cast aluminum, chrome-plated. Features stepless seat height adjustment via a gas spring and an adjustable backrest tilt mechanism. On hard casters. Used, in original condition with noticeable signs of age and wear. The black leather shows widespread crazing, scuffs, deep creases, and, in some places, a more pronounced patina, particularly on the seat and the front edges of the cushions. The chrome plating on the frame and armrests shows some light scratches and tarnish, but is largely intact. The mechanism is in working order.
