ROSENTAHL Rosenthal studio-linie, 1970s. Designed by Timo Sarpaneva, 1976. Porcelain, white, glazed. Wide, matte gold trim along the rim and a full-surface gold finish on lids and handles. This extensive tableware set, based on the iconic “Suomi” form, captivates with its clean, Scandinavian-inspired design. The bold gold decoration lends the pieces a luxurious elegance and highlights the organic geometry of the design. Set includes: dinner plates, soup plates, side plates / dessert plates, 1 oval serving platter, 2 square bowls, 1 tureen / ragout bowl with lid and gilded handle, 1 sauceboat with lid and gilded handle. 1 teapot with lid and gold-plated handle. 1 milk jug. 1 sugar bowl with gold-plated lid and teacups. The porcelain is in very good condition, with no chips or cracks. The gold-plated handle on the teapot shows clear signs of tarnish, oxidation, and slight wear on the surface; however, this does not affect its functionality. Other minor, age-related signs of wear and slight discoloration in the gold decoration on other pieces are possible.
