In-8, coarse-grained garnet morocco, ribbed spine, gilt edges, covers and spine featuring a wide gilt garland on the inside, moiré paper endpapers (David). A beautiful publication printed by the artist himself and illustrated with 240 woodcuts within the text and as inserts; the cover is printed in black, red, and gold, and the title is printed in black and yellow across a double page, forming two coats of arms. Each page is adorned with a header and a footer. Printed in an edition of 335 copies; THIS ONE ON OLD JAPON PAPER. Ex-libris. A VERY BEAUTIFUL COPY, superbly bound by David (Sheet No. 43, No. 2) (Monod, 6612) (Flety, 53).
