CARTIER 18K gold (750) pocket watch, white enamel dial, black railway-track minute track, black-painted Arabic numeral minute markers, black-painted Roman numeral hour markers, gold Louis XV-style hands. Hinged case back in 18K gold (750 thousandths), guilloché, blue enameled, surrounded by small white half-spherical stones; in the center, a miniature enamel decoration depicting a woman draped in the classical style holding a snake; inside, numbered 1716, two master’s hallmarks, one from the Société Générale des monteurs de boîtes d’or de Besançon and the other JO 2; 18K gold (750 thousandths) dust cover signed Cartier “9 BD DES ITALIENS PARIS ,” numbered 1716 on the inside. Mechanical movement with manual winding via the pendant, cylinder escapement, signed LeCoultre Co. The watch was in working order at the time of appraisal; however, there is no guarantee of future operation or the condition of the parts.
