RENÉ WELLER - Personal push-up handles, ca. 1969/1970, handmade from wooden blocks and plastic handles by 'brennenstuhl', LxWxH: approx. 22x7.5x10.5 cm, both supports signed. Signs of age and wear. FROM THE PERSONAL COLLECTION OF MARIA WELLER. *An authentic piece from René Weller’s very personal training and life story: built by him, used by him, and preserved for decades. These two push-up handles were created out of ingenuity and the drive to train continuously for his passion, boxing. This piece of sports equipment was created at a time when training equipment was not widely available. Through skilled craftsmanship, he produced a simple, sturdy, and functional training device tailored to his personal needs. He later signed it and kept it as part of his collection.
