Rochette This original illustration, created with gouache and watercolor on thick paper, depicts Proloff, the main hero of the *Le Transperceneige* series. The artist portrays a solitary, taciturn, and traumatized hero who hails from the rear cars of the terrifying train. The dark, somber hues reinforce the visual oppression and apocalyptic atmosphere of this closed-door setting. This illustration is one of two works that adorned the Casterman booth at Angoulême upon the album’s publication; the story has since been adapted into a television series and a film. Signed. 42.5 x 34.5 cm
