Jijé This original painting, titled *L’orangerie à Champrosay*, is an oil on canvas. Created in 1965, it depicts a charming residence located in the town of Draveil, south of Paris. Jijé, like other famous artists such as Alphonse Daudet, Eugène Delacroix, Paul Cézanne, and Claude Monet, stayed there regularly. In fact, a famous photograph shows him posing in the gardens of the Orangerie. This colorful composition demonstrates the artist’s desire to break free from the constraints of the “Ninth Art.” He delicately transports us into a landscape of balanced tones. Featured in the album *Vous avez dit BD* as well as in the book *Joseph Gillain, Paintings and Sculptures*. Signed and framed. 73x60cm
