Franquin Original. Indian ink and graphite pencil were used for this superb original illustration of the Marsupilami, created for the sign of the legendary Liège bookstore Au Marsupilami in the 1980s. The composition is on thick paper, accompanied by a color study in pencil on tracing paper. A very beautiful piece to which André Franquin added a large number of handwritten annotations and instructions for publication. Given to a collector and signed in 1994. 36.5 x 25.5 cm
