214 - A work signed “Katerina Vavlitou '86.” She was born in New York to Cypriot parents but grew up in Cyprus. She is a permanent resident of Greece and is married to the painter S. Bakoulis. She initially trained under the Cypriot painter T. Kanthos and subsequently studied painting at the Athens School of Fine Arts (1963–1969) under G. Mavroidis. She studied set design in the studio of V. Vassiliadis (1967–1969) and ceramics in the studio of G. Georgiou (1969–1971). She has presented her work in solo exhibitions in Greece and Cyprus.
