AUDEMARS PIGUET 18K WHITE GOLD RECTANGULAR WRISTWATCH, NO. 19965 A fine and elegant 18K white gold manual-wind rectangular wristwatch. Year: Circa 1960s Dial: Silvered dial with painted baton hour markers, silver sword hands, signed Audemars Piguet. Calibre: Audemars Piguet manual-wind calibre 2003, 17 jewels, numbered 79,634, signed. Case: 18K white gold rectangular case with brushed bezel and snap-on case back, numbered 19,965. Dimensions: Approx. 25 x 30 mm Gross Weight: Approx. 23.1 g Bracelet: Black alligator leather strap with stainless-steel pin buckle. Signature: Dial, movement and case. A beautiful illustration of Audemars Piguet’s understated elegance during the 1960s, this rectangular wristwatch combines remarkably balanced proportions with the technical refinement of the celebrated ultra-thin calibre 2003. Crafted in 18k white gold, its minimalist silvered dial and sharply defined rectangular case reflect the refined aesthetics of mid-century watchmaking. Particularly noteworthy is the exceptional preservation of its case, retaining what appears to be its original brushed finish, with crisp edges and beautifully defined surfaces. Such well-preserved examples are increasingly difficult to encounter, making this watch a particularly appealing example of vintage Audemars Piguet craftsmanship.
