[REVOLUTION] COLLECTIVE - A comprehensive and highly accurate list of the names, ages, occupations, and addresses of all the conspirators who were sentenced to death by the Revolutionary Tribunal established in Paris by the law of August 17, 1792, and by the second Tribunal established in Paris by the law of March 10, 1793, to try the enemies of the Fatherland. Published by Marchand, Berthé, Channaud, etc., Year II and III of the Republic (1793–1795). An extremely rare complete set of 12 fascicles bound into a single volume of this official list of those condemned during the Reign of Terror, including names, occupations, places of origin, dates, and the reasons for the confiscation of property or the sentence; all of which constitute an important firsthand document on the revolutionary massacres. The set includes fascicles 1 through 9, followed by the supplement to fascicle 9, and then numbers 10 and 11. Binding from the first half of the 19th century in half-basane with a smooth, decorated spine; the top joint is split, and there are minor, insignificant imperfections. The interior is fairly fresh, with a few browned and soiled leaves. Small 8vo, 10 fascicles of 32 pp. each and the last one of 25 pp. [Included] Mme GUENARD, Baroness de Méré - The August Victims of the Temple Published by Guillaume et compagnie, Paris, 1818—A very rare first edition of this Restoration-era publication concerning the events of the French Revolution. Complete with two lovely engraved frontispieces and title vignettes. Interior in fairly fresh condition; later bindings from the late 19th century in red half-percale, spines damaged and soiled. In-12, iv.-236 pp.; 240 pp.
